Following the decision by the Government to move to step 4 of the ‘Roadmap out of Lockdown’, we are making some changes to our Sunday services. We have conducted a risk assessment to ensure that we are doing this in the safest possible way. As of Sunday, booking will no longer be required and social distancing will be reduced to 1m inside the church. We understand that some people may feel less comfortable with a reduction in social distancing so we are reserving the side aisles for those who want to be more distant, with the centre pews for those who feel more comfortable. Our one-way system will remain in place, hands must still be sanitised upon entry (particularly before picking up any notice sheets), and we encourage you to use the QR code or sign-in as you enter. We also strongly encourage the use of face masks to reduce the risk of transmission of the virus.
The good news is that congregations are now allowed to sing!
Refreshments will continue to be served outside the church after the service giving us an opportunity to have fellowship in a safer way. Hopefully, the weather will hold!
The move to step 4 means we are being asked to take even more personal responsibility around coronavirus than when we were compelled to adhere to Government restrictions and so we will review arrangements as necessary going forward to ensure our continued safety. At present, we will continue with the one 10.45 am service but, from September, hope to restart our 9 am service.
We will also continue live-streaming on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/stchadschadwellheath/live/for those who are too vulnerable/unable to come to church (you do not need a Facebook account to watch). The service will also be added to the website by Monday.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
We look forward to seeing you in church!
