  late on Christmas Eve. The idea is that the consecration of the Holy Comm
 union occurs as Christmas Day begins following the reading of the gospel o
 f the incarnation of Jesus and the preaching of a sermon. Some years this 
 is followed by a vicar's invitation party in the Lacey Room.
