 hristingle celebrations are named after the Christingles that are lit duri
 ng the ceremony. Christingles are oranges wrapped in red tape\, decorated 
 with dried fruit or sweets\, with a candle on the top. \n\nEach element of
  a Christingle has a special meaning and helps to tell the Christian story
 :\n\n- The orange represents the world\n- The red ribbon (or tape) symboli
 ses the love and blood of Christ\n- The sweets and dried fruit represent a
 ll of God’s creations\n- The lit candle represents Jesus’s light in th
 e world\, bringing hope to people living in darkness.
