OPEN DOORS - OPEN HEARTS - OPEN MINDS
You will see that St Augustine's is a beautiful church. It is also in a beautiful location on top of One Tree Hill. We gather here to worship God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. As we celebrate Holy Communion together we draw close to God as we share in the bread and the wine and through this we become spiritually nourished. We also draw close to God through study of the Bible so that we may deepen our faith and our understanding of God and so that our faith may find true expression in how we live our lives.
On Sunday February 6th there will be Sunday School during the 10.30am Sung Eucharist and at 6.00pm there will be a service of Choral Evensong.
The
Pantomime 'Dick Whittington' is on
Saturday 18th February at 3.30pm and 7.30pm and
Sunday 19th February at 3.30pm 'Pirate Pantomimes are proud to present their 10th charity pantomime at St Augustine's church. As the fully professional cast all give their time for free every penny raised from the shows goes directly to local charities. There will also be tea, coffee and cakes and a cash bar at the interval, so bring lots of cash and come and join in the fun!' Tickets can be obtained on-line from
www.ticketsource.co.uk/augustine1treehillOn Sunday 19th February all are invited to join a prayer meeting prior to the service. We will meet from 10.00am until 10.20am.
The Parish Giving Scheme [PGS] has been set up and offers the following advantages: if you sign up for it you will be setting up a direct debit that will direct all the money you decide to give to St Augustine’s and, if you consent, can automatically collect gift aid if you are a UK tax payer. It is also possible to index-link your regular giving so that it will rise with inflation. If you wish, you can join the scheme anonymously. Please go to the PARISH GIVING SCHEME page for more details.
