Stars for Hope
Long, dark days and depression can quickly take hold. We want to encourage everyone to put a star in their window this December as a sign of hope – that there will be light, there will be an end to the pandemic, just as the dark days will soon be behind us. As the star over the stable in Bethlehem gave hope to the wise men, let our stars give hope to the people of Kelvedon that things will soon get better.
Star Christmas Tree
It is very sad that we cannot hold this year’s Christmas Tree Festival but to brighten the Church there will be a small number of trees in place during December. We thought it a nice idea to follow on with our Stars for Hope in people’s windows to cover one of those trees with stars we have made and hope that you will want to help. Perhaps like me you could learn to make a patchwork star, or crochet one? It could be made of paper, card or natural materials, just be inspired! The tree will be in place from Wednesday, 2nd December, restrictions permitting, and you will be able to put your star on either on Wednesdays or Sundays.
We hope to cover the village in stars this Advent and that you will add to our starry displays!
