DESCRIPTION:We have been invited by the London Borough of Havering to join
  their 'A Good Life' day on Saturday 21st March. This day is aimed at prom
 oting cultural activities offered in various venues across the Borough. \n
 \nSt Mary Magdalene in North Ockendon invites visitors on 21 March to expl
 ore its rich history\, including centuries-old worship\, bell ringing trad
 itions\, and links to the Poyntz family and William Tyndale. Guests can en
 joy organ music\, view historic architecture\, and learn about botanist Wi
 lliam Coys. The churchyard offers peaceful reflection\, and a walking rout
 e leads to Thames Chase. The venue also welcomes those seeking a community
  space.\n\n\nSchedule for the day\n10:30am-11:30am demonstration of church
  bells\n10.30am-1pm display of handbells with the opportunity to ‘have a
  go’\n12noon -2pm organ music with an opportunity to choose a hymn\n2pm 
 handbell demonstration by North Ockendon Handbell Team\nThroughout the day
 -\n      Historical information and tours of the church and site\n      Le
 aflets for heritage walk to Thames Chase Forest Centre \n\n\nRefreshments 
 will also be available.\n\n-\nSupported by Havering London as part of A Go
 od Life Day\, a borough-wide programme of free creative activity. With wor
 kshops\, performances and exhibitions\, there’s something for everyone.
