29th March 2020 - Update following church closures
Lighting a Candle
Last Sunday evening we were invited to light a candle at 7.00pm and we are inviting you to continue this. I have had some really positive comments (from church and non church people) and we had some lovely photos too. I think it helps to give us a foothold in the week. For those unable to light a candle, then perhaps pause at 7.00 and say a prayer, or place a flower in a vase or something else symbolic. Please do encourage others to join us as a symbol of faith (whatever their faith may be), love, hope and prayer but also to remind us that we are not alone.
Chelmsford Diocese continues to give us many suggestions of how we can worship through their 'Church is Changing' page. https://www.chelmsford.anglican.org/church-is-changing
Many are enjoying the worship from Chelmsford Cathedral and can be found here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCygvBaZCltwgWi1hNexg19Q
We would also like to be an active church in the community and offer practical help and so if you are unable to leave your home and need errands run then please do contact us and we will do our best along with our communities to arrange some support and help.
Follow us on our Facebook page which is regularly updated
We have some beautiful church buildings, but the church is also the people, so we are here to help and be very much part of the community.
Take care of yourselves and one another,
