Church of England Diocese of Chelmsford Westcliff, Saint Alban and Southend, Saint Mark

Coronavirus

The Government national lockdown from 6 January 2021 requires us all to stay at home except for certain limited exemptions.  One of these exemptions is for public worship and after voluntarily closing for six weeks Saint Alban's will reopen for public worship from Ash Wednesday on 17 February.

Attendance in person is for those who would value it and nobody should feel they are expected to attend Mass in person as all our Masses will continue to be livestreamed on Facebook. Anyone who is vulnerable is strongly advised to stay at home at the moment.

If you do attend in person you will need to:

1) Wear a mask (unless you have an exemption)
2) Sanitise your hands on entry to church
3) Register using the Track and Trace code or add your details to our attendance list
4) Maintain social distancing at all times and do not mingle outside your household or bubble
5) Please do not arrive too early and leave as soon as the Mass is over.

The church building will also be open on Wednesday and Saturday for Private Prayer from 11am until 12 noon.

All our worship will continue to be available via Livestream on Facebook Live.
