DESCRIPTION:Illumination is a free exhibition of biblical calligraphy and 
 illuminated manuscripts\, at St Peter's on Saturday 17 October\, 10.00am t
 o 3.00pm.\n\nAt its centre are facsimile volumes of The Saint John's Bible
  - a modern handwritten and illuminated Bible\, seven volumes in all\, let
 tered and decorated by hand. You can see the pages close up\, and find out
  how biblical texts were written\, decorated and illustrated long before t
 he printed page.\n\nEntry is free and everyone is welcome\, whether you co
 me to church or not. Children are very welcome.\n\nSchool groups: St Peter
 's is open to schools by appointment from Monday 12 to Friday 16 October\,
  free of charge\, with a hands-on session in calligraphy and illumination.
  It links well to RE\, history and art. Please contact the Revd Mark Smeed

  St James the Less\, Hadleigh the week after - schools from Monday 19 to F
 riday 23 October\, and open to the public on Saturday 24 October\, 10.00am
