DESCRIPTION:Come and join us at 10.30 a.m. at our Parish Mass as we celebr
 ate the First Sunday of Advent\, and look forward to the coming of Our Lor
 d Jesus Christ.  The Gospel reading from Luke (21: 25-36) also refers to t
 he last things\, signs in the heavens and on earth\, and Jesus' coming in 
 glory at the end of the world.  We are seeing massive change both politica
 lly and in the natural world\, and it would be easy to see the changes aro
 und us as signifying the end.  However\, we are not told the day or the ti
 me\, so cannot assume that all the troubles in the world at present indica
 te the very end.  But we are told to watch and pray that we may be able to
  stand before Jesus at the last Judgement.   So let us watch and pray this
  Advent as we await the incarnation of Our Lord.
