 , a Dominican friar and priest\, who was one of the foremost philosophers 
 and theologians in the western Church.  His major contribution was the doc
 trine of natural law which he thought was accessible to human reason\, and
  grounded in our very nature\, thus giving  the basis for individual right
 s and moral duties.  He was influenced by Aristotle\, and is considered on
 e of the most influential thinkers in the medieval world\, with his philos
 ophy and theology resonating into the modern era.  He is also famous for h
 is eucharistic hymns\, such as 'Of the glorious body telling' \, 'The heav
 enly Word proceeding forth' \, 'Thee we adore\, O hidden Saviour\, thee' w
 hich we regularly sing.    All are welcome either in person or on the live
 stream to celebrate his life and witness.
