 te the 2nd Sunday of Lent at our Parish Mass.  In the Gospel Jesus talks a
 bout the murders of some Galileans\, whose blood has been mingled in the s
 acrifices of Pontius Pilate.... Jesus is a Galilean whose blood will not b
 e mingled with other human sacrifices\, but will stand on its own as the f
 ull\, perfect and sufficient sacrifice\, oblation and satisfaction for the
  sin of  the whole world.    The collect of the day echoes this foreshadow
 ing of the Cross and invites us all to follow in the way of the Cross with
  him:\n\nAlmighty God\, whose most dear Son went not up to joy but first h
 e suffered pain\, and entered not into glory before he was crucified:\nmer
 cifully grant that we\, walking in the way of the cross\, may find it none
  other than the way of life and peace\; through Jesus Christ your Son our 
 Lord\, who is alive and reigns with you\, in the unity of the Holy Spirit\
 , one God\, now and for ever.
