DESCRIPTION:Today we celebrate the great feast of the Exaltation of the Ho
 ly Cross and rejoice in Jesus' triumph over death.  This feast celebrates 
 the day when the relic of the True Cross\, found by St Helena\, mother of 
 the Emperor Constantine\, was shown to the people in Jerusalem\, and the d
 ay when it was shown by the Emperor Heraclitus to the people in Constantin
 ople in AD 628\, after rescuing it from Persian raids in Jerusalem.     On
 e of the hymns we sing today sums up the theme of the Mass: 'In the Cross 
 of Christ I glory\, towering o'er the wrecks of time....'
