 Temple was a ritual of childhood. Taken together\, however\, they describe
  his recognition by people of all kinds: by Simeon\,  who had long looked 
 forward to his birth\, and by the Magi\, to whom he was a mystery and surp
 rise\; by Jew and by Gentile\; by the wealthy and powerful as well as the 
 poor\; by the stranger as well as those who had known him from childhood.
