  reading: Psalm 8. 1–10\nGospel: John 16. 12–15\n\nThe Holy Trinity of
  Father\, Son and Holy Spirit is central to Christian faith\, yet the word
  'trinity' doesn't appear in the Bible and the concept is never explicitly
  discussed. However\, in the Gospel today the three Persons of the Trinity
  are referred to as distinct (so that Jesus can refer to his Father and al
 so to the Spirit) but at the same time fully identified with one another.
