  would return in transformative glory. While their expectations were not f
 ulfilled as they anticipated\, they were right about the importance of wai
 ting\, which they understood as a practice of positive preparation for wha
 t is to come. This belief is foreshadowed in the life of John the Baptist\
 , who was not merely waiting for the promised Messiah but actively prepari
 ng for him.  \n\nIn keeping with this theme of waiting and preparation\, J
 unior Church will be busy rehearsing their Nativity Play\, to be performed
  on Sunday 21 December.
