 nnual re-enactment of the story by children can perhaps restore our sense 
 of wonder - the Nativity Play centres on a child\, and is performed by chi
 ldren\, but it conveys the most adult of messages. In a similar way\, the 
 International Children's Bible\, from which we have adapted the Gospel\, s
 implifies the language but in no way dilutes the meaning.
