 \n\nBoth our readings this Sunday focus on the closeness of God to his peo
 ple.\n\nIn our Gospel reading we find out that God will give his spirit to
  those that love him. Jesus says that he will come to us and that he will 
 dwell within us. In Acts 17 the Apostle Paul explains that God does not li
 ve in man-made buildings\, but it is in God that we live and have our bein
 g and that he is 'not far from any one of us'. Jesus says that he will not
  leave us as orphans and Paul says that we are God's 'offspring'. The mess
 age is consistent that we do not worship a distant\, uncaring God. He is n
 ot the UNKNOWN GOD of the the Athenians but a Father in heaven\, a beloved
  friend in Jesus\, and an advocate in the Holy Spirit.
