DESCRIPTION:This is such a wonderful service! Unusually\, it combines the 
 timeworn depth of Evensong with the spirituality of singing Taizé chants.
  A remarkable blending that works really well: everything is prayer. We ga
 ther to worship in the more informal space in front of the St Nicolas's Me
 dieval Rood Screen. The service follows BCP evensong\, with chants where y
 ou would usually find hymns or the Magnificat and Nunc Dimmittis. There is
  also a reflection/talk and prayers\, and a final hymn and blessing. \n\nT
 he chants are fairly easy to pick up as they are repeated many times\;  do
  feel free to sing the harmony if you prefer. We have a choir who sing wit
 h the congregation and who practice singing the chants before the service 
 at 5:15pm.
