Parish Lent Course - Perspectives on St Peters

We have all come to be part of the church family of St. Peter’s. Some have been members for many years; others have joined more recently. Whether our association with St. Peter’s can be measured in decades or just a few months, we are all inheritors of a rich tradition of faith that stretches back over the centuries. We find ourselves part of this heritage which we are all contributing to in our own way, and which we will pass down to those who follow us.

In this series we’ll be looking at St. Peter’s from various perspectives, becoming more familiar with our church family history as we look back, and catching a glimpse of what might lie ahead as we look forward. Drawing on a mix of church history, congregational studies and theology we’ll grow deeper in our shared understanding of who we are as St. Peter’s. We’ll draw on stories of how our church has been uniquely shaped over the years and how we can continue to be faithful to our calling to bear witness to the Christian faith in our own generation.

The sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings in Lent from 7.30 - 9.00 pm via Zoom on 23rd February and 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd March. The Zoom link will be circulated with the parish e-mail for the first Sunday in Lent. We hope you’ll be able to join us!
