It has been a long few months on lockdown. We know that people are eager to get back to church but at the same time may be worried about how to do this safely. Online church via livestreams, recorded videos and Zoom meetings have been invaluable here at St. Thomas for keeping our worship going.
We have been opening the church for short periods in order to allow people in to pray privately on Mondays and Thursdays between 11am and 2pm, with a group of dedicated helpers taking shifts to ensure that all appropriate precautions are taken regarding COVID-19. This has been going well, and we invite you to come and pray if you want to.
The St. Thomas Peace Garden is also open on weekdays for quiet reflection and meditation, so please do come and use it if you would like to.
We are currently in the midst of planning to reopen for in-person Sunday Eucharist. This has been set for 26th July 2020 at 10am. Everyone is welcome to come, but we will be putting a booking system in place as we will need to limit numbers in order to socially distance from each other. Keep an eye out for more information on this in the next week or so.
