What we offer:
Breakfast at 10: 10 – 11.30am on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month at South Wootton Village Hall. Come for a breakfast of bacon rolls, toast, crumpets, muffins, tea and fresh coffee. Read the Sunday papers, do quizzes, or just eat and chat. After breakfast we tell a story or introduce a theme from the Bible and then we offer activities for everyone, of every age. You may prefer to carry on reading or talking – and that’s just fine.
Breakfast at 10 is increasingly popular with young families and children, but adults - single, married, or with partners of every age enjoy coming as well. We aim to give people - young, old and everything in between - as much freedom as possible to enjoy and express themselves in a relaxed and easy-going atmosphere. We try and offer opportunities to meet friends and make new ones; explore faith; and have a thoroughly good time.
Drop-In: Our Drop-In runs from 8.45 – 12.00 each Thursday morning at St Mary’s Church. The church is warm, there are tables to sit around, quizzes to do, games to play and toys for very young children to play with. We serve tea, coffee, squash and delicious home baking. Come along to chat to friends, or make new ones and enjoy a good cuppa and a piece of cake.
Weddings: if you are thinking of getting married we will do all we can to help make this a special occasion. We are still taking applications for this year, next year and the year after (2019). By the way, we are very open to the idea of marrying those who have been married before. To talk about marriage and weddings do phone James on 673742.
Baptisms: We offer baptism services at 3.00pm in either church. Please see the updated baptism page on our website www.churchinthewoottons.net and apply that way, or get in touch with us directly on 673742. Early applications will help you, and they will help us.
Friendship Coffee Mornings – would you like to make new friends? Monthly coffee mornings are held at various places and lifts can be provided.
Alpha courses – you can find out about the Christian faith from this course which presents teaching through informative and accessible films and discussion. The Alpha course offers you the chance to explore beliefs in a friendly, welcoming and inclusive way. Please do get in touch with us to find out more.
House Groups – are made up of people who meet together in the evening, or during the day, to pray, read the bible, support one another and laugh together.
