After the Zoom viewing of the Sunday service, join us for conversation over coffee via Zoom, using the same link or phone number (just stay online, or join us just for the conversation period at 11.30, UK time).

You can join us to watch the service, or you can join later for the coffee time.

Viewing starts at 10:15 for those joining the service. You can join in at any time during the proceedings or come and go as you wish.

The service will finish with an organ voluntary at around 11:30 UK time.

Join us at around 11.30 to take part in the chat rooms (we divide into small random groups for real conversation and to catch up with friends and meet new people).

How does it work? You join the Zoom call (instructions below) and once you are in you will be able to talk and see other people who have joined too. During the service you will be muted so you can't talk.

After the service we shall be unmuted and we can talk to each other. Remember to turn your video on, if you had it off during the service! Sam will use "breakout rooms" to put us into small groups for chatting and then shuffle us into different rooms after a bit.

People without a computer can phone in using a telephone. In that case they aren’t visible, nor can they see anyone else, but they can hear the service (in audio only) and they’ll be able to join in during the chat period. This is a lifeline for our more isolated congregation members so please spread the word to those who are not online.

Zoom is very user-friendly and easy to get set up. If it's your first time, it will invite you to download an app, which takes a bit of time so you should experiment with this the day before you want to use it, so that you are able to use the app on the day.

If you've got a computer, tablet, or smartphone with Internet connection, click on this link https://zoom.us/j/92046935496?pwd=NVhabUlPUTBpWld3c3c3U2tGeW05QT09 to get it set up. Each meeting has an ID, and this one is 920 4693 5496, with the password being 070701.

To join by telephone instead, simply dial 0131 460 1196 or 0208 080 6591 (both numbers have the same cost as a local call, but on many packages are either free or reduced). You’ll be asked to provide the same meeting ID (920 4693 5496) and password (070701) on their phone and they will be able to participate just like everyone else, except for not being able to see folk, of course.

Let us know that if you need any help with the Zoom setup. Sam Ruddock will be happy to talk you through it.

Norwich: St George, Tombland

St George's is the flint church with the blue clock, the pretty garden, the blossom trees, just behind the Edith Cavell Pub.  Join us if you're looking for a relaxed, easy-going, inclusive church in the catholic tradition, with bells and incense, services with (some of) the old words and real hymns.

We are open for services on Sundays and Fridays (but please check notices for changes to these things). Please see the events page for festivals and other events both here and in our sister churches. Between April and September we aim to open for visitors on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, but this is subject to change depending on the availability of keyholders, so please do get in touch before making a special journey.

These pages also give you links to resources for how you can be part of our virtual congregation if you can't come to church yet. One of our Sunday services (here or at Colegate) is streamed on Zoom so that those unable to attend may follow from a computer or by phone. There is also a prayer group on Zoom.

Do get in touch if you are in need of prayer. We are praying for you and for the world, and would be glad to have you pray with us in Church or from your own home.

You can also follow us on facebook (see "social" links in the menu on the left).

We are working with Eco Church to improve our carbon footprint and other ways in which we cause an impact on the wellbeing of others and of our planet, and we are pleased to have been awarded the silver award in 2023. Click on the item on the left for suggestions for small things you can do at home and in your Christian life: this is an important part of our contribution to treading lightly on God's earth.

The parish of Norwich: St George, Tombland is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Norwich’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
