The booking system is operating as before and is the same for all churches (see below). We will still need to follow the same rules as before the closure (wearing masks, no singing or time to chat over a cup of tea afterwards, social distancing).

The collection by Roberts Recycle has been confirmed: it will take place at St James Church, on 26th June - so if you have any clothes, shoes or accessories that you no longer need, instead of throwing them out, please keep them to bring along to the church on the day between 2 and 3pm. This will raise valuable funds for the church, prevent good items being put in landfill AND supply affordable clothing to poorer parts of the world such as Cameroon, Kenya and some Eastern European countries.

Foodbank Update:

As you know we support our independent Maghull foodbank on a Tuesday at Maghull Methodist church for the surrounding Maghull area. This week they need more "tinned meat, tuna, fruit, tomatoes and spaghetti. We do still have contact with the Trussell Trust South Sefton foodbank which covers Bootle, Litherland and Netherton. They are always short of stock so if Maghull has a surplus, they will be sent to South Sefton".

DAILY PRAYER CYCLE - The diary with local streets and topics to be prayed for each week can be downloaded from the 'Praying for our Team and Local Community' page when available.
This week we pray for the Bereavement Support Group that meets again on the third Thursday of each month.

We also pray for those who are bereaved and the Rev. Dave Hamlett who oversees the running of the group.

This week we pray for the residents of Ormonde Avenue, Ormonde Drive, Park Lane, Parkbourn, Parkbourn Drive, Parkbourn North, Parkbourn Square..

Please remember to use the Team Prayer in your prayer times: you can find it on the Praying for our Team and Community page.

We are continuing to monitor our financial situation …there are still bills to pay and our Parish Share contribution to make even though we are not meeting in our Church Buildings - so please consider giving though the Parish Giving Scheme to help our regular income. Like many other charities we are facing significant financial difficulties.
