First Sunday after Trinity

14 Jun 2020, 12:15 a.m.

Opening Prayer Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord's Prayer Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be they name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive them that trespass against us. Deliver us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen

A Thought for Today: Today we remember that early in His ministry that Jesus asked his disciples to pray for more labourers to gather the harvest of people God was calling. After this Jesus gave his disciples authority to cast out evil and heal the sick. Then he sent them to find the lost sheep of Israel, proclaim the Good News and do deeds of power to show that the Kingdom of God was near.

Prayer for 1st Sunday of Trinity: Almighty and eternal God, our Father and the strength of all, we ask for your grace so we keep your commandments in both will and deed. Thank you for your heavenly gifts that nourish and strengthens our faith, builds up our hope and makes us grow in love. Mercifully accept our prayer. AMEN

Prayer of blessing May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all, now and evermore. Amen.

Closing Note This message is sent to you with love and prayers as: a word of encouragement and a sign of hope as we begin our journey from extraordinary times to a new normal.
