Let us pray: Dear God, may we hear what you are saying to us today. Amen
A Simple Word from Lucy: Today as we gather for our first service since the lockdown began in March 2020, we do so in a world that is different. Today we will remember Bob our Church Warden who died during lockdown. We will also formally welcome our Curate Barbara Hamilton. Today we will hear poems written by our Lay Chair of PCC during the Pandemic to date. Today, as we worship we will do so differently - using a simple service of the word, without communion. Today we will remember that Jesus fed the crowds with bread and fish outdoors in a miraculous picnic. Today we will remember that our God provides everything we need.
Let us pray: Lord of all power and might, the author and giver of all good things: graft in our hearts the love of your name, increase in us true religion, nourish us with all goodness, make us perfect in your love and by your great mercy keep us in the same, so we may share in his glory; through Jesus Christ, your Son our Lord, the true vine and the source of life, ever giving himself that the world may live. Amen
Prayer of blessing May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all, now and evermore. Amen.
Closing Note This message is sent to you with love and prayers as: a word of encouragement and a sign of hope as we live the new normal
