Funeral of Hazel Anita Smith
On Tuesday 8th September 2020 at 10.45am the funeral of Hazel Smith was held in Church followed by committal of her body at Thimblemill Cemetery. The service was attended by the maximum number of people permitted at this time of Pandemic and those not able to be with us were called to mind during the service.
Hazel was remembered and commended to God in a service of music, prayers, poetry and heartfelt eulogy shared by her friend and neighbour Tony. Barbara the parish Curate read the 23rd Psalm and a poem. Lucy, the Parish Priest led the service in Church and Committal at the graveside.
Hazel was an important member of the local parish community, an able and well respected woman, a person who was well liked and well loved. Hazel will be missed. May Hazel rest in peace and rise in glory.
Thanks to everyone who was able to attend the service, thank you to those who prayed for Hazel, her family and her friends, thankyou to the undertakers and thankyou to the piper who played music at the cemetery.
