 use’ of heritage\, history & community. Inside the church and in the chu
 rchyard are carvings in stone and marble from the late 18th century. Old w
 all paintings\, tombs\, monuments and stained glass to discover. Not all b
 uilt in the same period style\, trace the patchwork of St John’s archite
 ctural history from 1795 to present day. St John’s Church also reveals t
 he evolution of English culture\, religion\, local heritage\, family histo
 ry and stories of individual achievements\, art and craftsmanship.\n\n\n\n
 Spend some time in nature in the churchyard. Take a peaceful moment to enj
 oy the light-filled space inside the church. Learn something new about the
  building and it’s community. Spend time in the cafe\, speak with our vo
 lunteers or watch a film of the church building tour.
