DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to this Choral Eucharist on Maundy Thursday\, 
 which recalls Jesus’ final night with his disciples and arrest in the ga
 rden of Gethsemane.\n\nMaundy Thursday gets its name from the Latin word m
 andare meaning to command. We remember Jesus’ command: ‘Love one anoth
 er as I have loved you’.\n\nAt the Last Supper Jesus washed the disciple
 s’ feet and our service will include the symbolic ritual of foot washing
 . This is not only an important reminder of the nature of Jesus\, who we s
 erve\, but also the kind of service we are meant to demonstrate in our lov
 e for one another.\n\nThe service is followed by the option to join us for
  the Night Watch which recalls how Jesus invited his apostles to stay with
  him while he prayed. It is extremely powerful to imagine being there with
  Jesus in the Garden as he prepares to sacrifice himself for our sins.
