DESCRIPTION:Join us at Bristol Cathedral for Meditations at the Cross\, th
 e first part of our Good Friday service. This reflective service offers a 
 quiet space to think about the meaning of Christ’s death. It moves gentl
 y through readings\, short reflections\, hymns\, and periods of silence. T
 he congregation is invited to sing these hymns\, and Canon Neil’s reflec
 tions explore the imagery in the words and how themes of loss\, pain\, and
  grief are met by God in the Cross of Christ. Visitors are welcome to join
  at any point\, and stewards will help late arrivals enter quietly so the 
 calm is maintained.\n\nThis service begins the three-hour Good Friday wors
 hip\, reflecting the hours that Jesus spent on the cross. It gives time fo
 r personal prayer\, contemplation\, and engaging with the story of the Cru
 cifixion. Meditations on the Cross leads directly into the Liturgy of the 
 Lord’s Death\, forming a continuous three-hour service.\n\nAll are welco
 me to stay for all or part of this service.
