DESCRIPTION:Do you want to deepen your relationship with God and find grea
ter clarity about where He is calling you?\n\nJoin us for a Week of Guided
Prayer. A retreat in daily life designed for busy people like you.\n\n\n\
nExperience More of God’s Love and Clarity in how he is Calling You.\n\n
Would you like a greater assurance of God’s love and more clarity about
how God is calling you?\n\n·         The retreat can help you hear wh
at God is saying to you\, helping experience God’s love and get clarity
about where God is calling you.\n\n·         This can be hugely liber
ating if you are overstretched and trying to get lots of things done\n\n·
You can get a greater sense of God’s love and presence and
focus on what God is asking of you.\n\nWho Is This For?\n\nIf you want to
deepen your relationship with God and find greater clarity about where He
is calling you this is the place for you. You may be local or join by Zoom
.\n\nPeople have experienced God work in previous years\n\nHere Laura shar
es her story\n\n“I made my first 'Retreat in Daily Life' in my mid-twent
ies. I have made a few more since then\, and also completed an introductor
y course in accompanying others in prayer. I am still a bit puzzled how su
ch a relatively small investment of time could have such a profound effect
upon my life!  I am grateful for having gained a more loving image of Go
d\, a greater sense of the presence of Jesus in my every day\, a way of pe
rceiving the Holy Spirit moving in both times of consolation and desolatio
n as I go through the joys and trials of life. I deeply appreciate having
learnt spiritual practices which I love to share with others\, and would b
e delighted for my children to inherit.” \n\nWith many thanks to Steve
and to all those who make these retreats possible!\n\nLaura  Retreatant a
nd prayer guide trained on a course we offered in Luton.\n\n\n\nAbout the
Leaders\n\nThe retreat is led by Stephen Hoyland. We’ve asked him to in
troduce himself\, \n\n“I live in the North West of England where it ra
ins a lot.  I am fortunately waterproof.  I have worked for the Jesuits
for the last 18 years and one of the highlights is an annual trip to Luton
to lead a retreat in daily life. \n\nPreviously I've been a teacher (so
I like to give homework) and a chaplain (so I like to pretend to be workin
g).\n\nI travel the country facilitating retreats for students\, people in
parishes and other bodies.  I have become convinced after 250 or so of t
hese\, that God really likes retreats. \n\nI'm married to Kate.  I am pl
eased this year to have another football team to root for in the Premiersh
ip.  Yes.  Luton Town.\n\nThe retreat in Luton began at the University o
f Bedfordshire and has moved into the life of the churches of the town.
\n\nWe have excellent trained guides who assist with the retreat. \n\n\
 n\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect\n\nDuring the retreat\, you’ll have the opportun
ity to journey and reflect with a prayer guide over the course of a week.\
n\n·         Your guide will help you reflect on your prayer and life
in a prayerful atmosphere and explore how you might become more open to t
he movements of the Spirit.\n\n·         You’ll meet with your pray
er guide (in person or over Zoom) each day for half an hour from Monday-Fr
iday.\n\n·         They’ll give you some prayer ‘homework’ each
time for you to take away\, often drawing from the Ignatian tradition of
prayer and spiritual exercises.\n\n·         You might want to use yo
ur time with your prayer guide to reflect on some kind of decision or just
to explore your relationship with God\n\nDates for your diary:\n\no   Th
ere will also be an optional prayer workshop on Wednesday at 8 pm over Zoo
m (online)\, where you’ll get to experience different types of prayer an
d pray alongside others.\n\no   There will be an opening meeting for the
whole group at 7 pm on October 1st\, at which you will meet your prayer gu
ide for the week and arrange your meetings with them throughout the retrea
t.\n\no   At the end\, there will be a closing meeting at 7 pm on Friday\
, October 6th\, to pray together and share something of our experience of
the week. Times and details of these will be confirmed nearer the time.\n\
nThrough this retreat experience\, our hope is that you are better able to
notice\, savour\, and respond to the movement of God in your life after t
he retreat.\n\nCost\n\n·         There is a charge of £60 per partic
ipant to cover costs for the week.\n\n·         A bursary is availabl
e for those who are unable to pay - if this is you\, email rachwarwick@gma
il.com before completing your booking for details.\n\nWhat will happen\n\n
Once you have booked\, you will be sent a short questionnaire so that you
can let us know whether you’d like to participate in the retreat online
or in-person and give some idea of your availability during the week.\n\nD
on’t miss this opportunity to deepen your relationship with God and find
greater clarity about where He is calling you. Sign up today! 😊\n\nSee
