Paul Harrison, organist at St Mary’s Church, will be taking on an ambitious challenge to raise crucial funds to replace the church’s deteriorating organ with an exciting new instrument.*
He will be playing the organ in Reed from 9am on Saturday, 19th June until 9am on Sunday, 20th June, with a little help from a few guest organists. During this 24-hour period, Paul will play his way through the Ancient and Modern Hymn Book, as well as some other favourite pieces. Please email ree[email protected] if you would like to come to the church as booking is essential
You can get involved in a number of ways,
- by sponsoring part of the new organ and having your name in an historical book we aim to produce to document the organ's build and installation,
- sponsor Paul via www.justgiving.com/fundraising/organ-marathon and/or dedicate a hymn to yourself or a loved one during the marathon.
- Hard copies of the sponsor form with information and dedication slips are available inside the church's porch, along with a box for hymn dedications to be placed.
We do hope you will get involved and tell others about this initiative - thank you very much. If you have any questions or need help, please email [email protected]. Full details of the proposed new organ and sponsorship options can be found at: reedorganproject
