NOTICES

BIBLE SOCIETY AGM:  The date is Thursday 21st October. The venue is Therfield Chapel where there is adequate street parking. The speaker is Phil R, a Bible translator with SIM. The normal refreshments and Bring and Buy sale will be present. The time is 7.30 for 7.45.

SAYING GOODBYE: (part of the Mariposa Trust) are returning to Chelmsford in October with a Baby loss remembrance and support service (part of a Nationwide chain of events). Due to Covid-19 this is not our traditional service, but we are happy to be able to bring a service to bereaved parents in your area. On the 9th October at 2 pm, in Chelmsford Cathedral we will be hosting one of our Saying Goodbye Services. Anyone who has either personally lost a baby at any stage of pregnancy, at birth, or in early years, or who has been affected by family members or friends' loss. Whether the loss was recent or 80 years ago, everyone is welcome to attend. We have also extended the services, and gladly welcome anyone who is grieving the fact that they haven't had children. This may be due to circumstance, infertility, or for other reasons - but all are welcome. Babies and children are also invited to come with their families, as the Saying Goodbye service is truly a family event for all. To read more on the charity, please see the Saying Goodbye website, which you can find at: www.sayinggoodbye.org

VOLUNTEERS WANTED!  LIFT TO CHURCH ROTA  If you use a car, can you help with giving a lift to a parishioner who otherwise can't attend our 10.15am Sunday service?  In order to continue our Transport to Church rota , we need to add more volunteers to our team of helpers. This involves collecting a named person from their home, taking them to church, and returning them home afterwards.

The commitment will be not more than 12 times a year , via a rota, and the more volunteers the better, as the burden will be shared. Please contact Angela Sassoli for further details 07779 212920

Prayer for these difficult times:

Keep us, good Lord, under the shadow of your mercy in this time of uncertainty and distress. Sustain and support the anxious and fearful, and lift up all who are brought low; that we may rejoice in your comfort knowing that nothing can separate us from your love in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for our Community:

Loving God, we thank you for your many blessings since our church fire. We ask that as the months progress we will stay united as your body.
