THY KINGDOM COME: ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension Day to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus Christ. During the 11 days of Thy Kingdom Come, it is hoped that everyone who takes part will: Deepen their own relationship with Jesus Christ, pray for 5 friends or family to come to faith in Jesus, and pray for the empowerment of the Spirit that we would be effective in our witness. For more information and prayer resources, please see: www.thykingdomcome.global or ring: 020 7898 1142.

RETURN TO PUBLIC WORSHIP: Good news! We are able to worship at the Town Hall from Sunday 23rd May. We are going to start with non-Eucharistic services and these will be held at 9am and 10.15am. Booking is required; for non-computer users, please ring Joanne (07935 774633) between the Monday and Wednesday before the Sunday in question. For email users, please contact Joanne ([email protected]) between Thursday and Saturday. Unfortunately we cannot take bookings for more than one week at a time. All welcome! Every blessing, Heidi.

CHRISTIAN AID WEEK 10th MAY: We can’t collect in the usual fashion for Christian Aid this year, but their vital work continues helping our brothers and sisters in dire need around the world. If you would like to donate you can either visit their website: www.christianaid.org.uk or send a cheque made payable to Christian Aid and send it to: Christian Aid, PO Box 100, London, SE1 7RT.

GOOD NEWS!: Brenda Watkin’s grandson, Jackson, is now cancer free. Surgery for new Femur and part Hip is on 12th May. Please keep Jackson and the family in your prayers for this next stage, and a big thank you for all the past prayers. Brenda Watkins

TWIN YOUR VACCINE?  Your two doses of vaccine (depending on which kind you had) might be worth between £4 and £30. If you could have afforded to buy it for yourself, please consider twinning your vaccination by donating to Unicef. Rev'd Scott Patteson and his wife, Rowan have set up a JustGiving page which will be linked to Unicef's Covax project. For more details, please see: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/RowanPatterson

WATCH OUT FOR VACCINE SCAMS: Unfortunately, some criminals are taking advantage of the roll out of the coronavirus vaccine to commit fraud.

The most important point to remember is that the vaccine is free of charge.

The NHS will never:

· ask you for your bank account or card details

· ask you for your PIN or banking password

· arrive unannounced to your home to administer the vaccine

· ask you to prove your identity by sending copies of personal documents such as your passport, driving licence, bills or pay slips.

DAILY HOPE offers music, prayers and reflections as well as full worship services from the Church of England at the end of a telephone line. A Church of England initiative in partnership with CONNECTIONS at Holy Trinity Claygate, and Faith in Later Life. The line – which is available 24 hours a day on 0800 804 8044 – has been set up particularly with those unable to join online church services during the period of restrictions in mind. “With many in our country on lockdown, it's important that we support those who are feeling lonely and isolated, whatever age they are" - Archbishop Justin Welby.
