  circumstances.  All of us\, at some point on the journey of our lives\, e
 xperience being wounded by the painful loss of someone we have loved and w
 ho have loved us. The wounds in our hearts and souls take time to heal. Ev
 en then they leave a scar on our lives. There is a special poignancy over 
 the loss of a child\, and coming together\, in a place of peace and quiet 
 such as the space we find in Royston Parish Church\, can be especially hel
 pful whatever our faith and whoever we are.
