  give thanks to God for his provision for us.  There is the opportunity to
  give an item of non-perishable food (a tin\, packet or jar)\, though ther
 e is no obligation to do so.  Harvest gifts and posies of flowers will be 
 distributed to those in our community who have recently been bereaved and 
 the elderly or housebound.
