Lent 2021- A Trinity of Book Titles for Lent


Sacred Space will be used across the parish for Lent 2021

During each week in Lent there is a series of daily Bible readings and short reflections which everyone should find accessible.The daily readings begin on Sunday 21 February and go through to Saturday April 3rd.

The Wind, The Foundation and The Fire is our study book choice in the Parish for 2021.

Mark Barrett OSB is a Monk at Worth Abbey in Sussex and he uses the Psalms and the Gospels to tackle some important aspects of the Christian life.

This book will be the background to our Parish-wide Lent Groups for 2021 which will meet either on a Monday* evening (7.30pm) or Wednesday Lunchtime (1230pm) by Zoom.The Lunchtime Lent Groups will be chaired by Julie Handscomb, who worships at Digswell Village Church and the evening groups will be chaired by Kathryn Yuill who has joined the parish digitally during the pandemic and who is a University lecturer.This book will also form the background to 5 reflections offered on Tuesdays in Lent via SoundCloud by The Revd Selina Evans and a further 5 reflections on Sundays during the live streamed services by Fr Rob.

is the Parish Book Club Lent Book for 2021

The Paperback version is published by Penguin Books.The Book Club will meet by Zoom on Thursday 11 March at 7:30pm for a longer than usual meeting about this superb book. (90 minutes)
