Church of England Diocese of St.Albans Weston

Weston Church is open for private prayer

20 Jun 2020, midnight

Weston Parish Church will be open daily as from Monday 22nd June 2020 for private prayer from 10.00am to 3.00pm. Because of regulations regarding social distancing and the need to clean the Church each day after closing, an area within the Church has been set aside for private prayer. We ask that you always keep within this designated area please.

We ask that you keep to the rules presently laid down by the Government involving keeping social distancing to 2 metres within the church and that there should be only 6 visitors at any one time.

We hope, despite these necessary restrictions, you will find the church a restful place for prayer and reflection – there is a prayer sheet should you need one to help you focus your thoughts.

You are warmly welcomed to join our weekly Sunday Church Service at 10.00am for online worship, the numbers are growing each Sunday, to gain access to the service, please e-mail Rev Fiona Wheatley:[email protected]

The opening of the Church for private prayer is the beginning of our return to normality but because of the nature of the virus this may take some time before we have full Church services within the church. The precautions we are taking now, we hope, will enable that time to be sooner rather than later.
