The good news is that the government has now eased some of the restrictions on the use of our churches so that we will be able to open them to give people access for individual private prayer. We shall also be able to conduct funerals in church, although numbers attending will continue to be restricted. We await further government guidance as to when we might be able to conduct weddings in church.

Understandably, and quite rightly, we need to continue to minimise any risk of Coronavirus transmission which might arise from starting to use our churches again. Therefore, as required by government and church authorities, we are now undertaking a rigorous and documented risk assessment process, as well as a church cleaning programme, in order to begin to open our churches safely in the coming days.

Once this is complete, each church in our benefice will be open on certain days each week, in rotation. Please watch this notice board, as well as our websites and the NIB and REACH magazines, for details of when each church will be open.
