Following the Prime Minister's announcements earlier in the week, we have decided that we should take a similarly cautious approach to resuming collective worship in church, in line with the government's plan for progressive easing of the lockdown restrictions. Although schools are planned to resume normal classes on 8th Mar, the 'Stay at Home' policy remains in place until 29th March. Accordingly, we plan to resume church services on Easter Sunday, but with a short said service of Holy Communion in each of our benefice churches. We encourage you to join us on that day, at which ever church you normally attend. Following this, we hope to then continue with the regime of weekday services in each church as we did last summer, and then to return perhaps to a more normal pattern of Sunday worship, including benefice services. This will all be dependent on further easing of the restrictions, and subject always of course to continued improvements, i.e. reductions, in the infection, hospitalisation, and death rates. We will publicise a more detailed list of planned services nearer Easter, assuming that the government is still able to allow the relaxations to proceed as planned.
