 t defines the value of a human life? Can we truly say that all human being
 s are infinitely precious\, regardless of age\, disability or economic 'us
 efulness' to society? Does terrible suffering make life not worth living? 
 Debates around assisted suicide has brought these questions into sharp foc
 us with uncomfortable implications on all sides – but these touch on far
  deeper questions of anthropology.  How can we help one another and those 
 we love think wisely and compassionately about sensitive matters such as t
