Launching this year’s Lent Appeal, Bishop Andrew is calling on all of us to follow Christ’s example of love and compassion by helping those less fortunate than ourselves. By supporting the Bishop of Guildford’s Communities Fund, you can bring hope to the growing number of people who are struggling - people living with disabilities, battling mental ill-health, facing financial hardship, or experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage.

Last year, the Fund made 16 grants totalling more than £24,000 to projects run by parishes or church-linked organisations which helped fund meals for the vulnerable, cafés for the isolated, youth and community workers, and other wellbeing initiatives.

Bishop Andrew is encouraging all parishes to make a special collection this Lent or encourages your congregations to do so individually.
