Welcome from the Rector, The Reverend Ian Maslin
As the Rector of St Peter's, your parish Church in Hascombe, it is a real pleasure to welcome you to this lovely country village and our beautiful church.
At Saint Peter's we offer a very warm Christian welcome to everyone; without exception.
Whoever you are, wherever you are on your journey of faith or even if you are just curious about God, we are here to help you. We have a range of services that we hope cater for all ages and traditions.
We hold Eucharist (Holy Communion) services from the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) using rich traditional language and liturgy that has been passed down to us through the centuries.
We also have Holy Communion services from Common Worship, a contemporary service that uses modern language but loses none of the richness of its BCP counterpart.
Once the current pandemic restrictions are lifted we plan to restart our joint community worship services such as;
Café Church, a relaxed service of food, fun and praise that we hold in the Winn Hall in the centre of Dunsfold village.
Funday @Four service which will take place in St Mary & All Saints church in Dunsfold and we aim that at our younger people with their parents. The emphasis is definitely on fun!
But we can still offer other services in addition to our regular weekly ones, for example;
Have you thought about getting married at St Peter's?
Have you though about having your children Christened here?
Have you thought about being Confirmed?
If you have I am very happy to talk to you about either of the above so please do come and chat to me after a service or call me at the Rectory.
We are also able to hold occasional concerts and talks in the church which draws quite a few people.
Our welcome to you is warm and genuine, so come and join us; come and see your parish church and meet your fellow parishioners and make yourself at home.
If there is anything that we can help you with then please do feel free to call me at the Rectory either in person or via telephone.
With every blessing to you and your time in Hascombe.
