DESCRIPTION:As the new school year begins\, we come together as Send C of 
 E school community and parish to celebrate new beginnings\, and share in a
  warm\, welcoming atmosphere. This simple service\, held in partnership wi
 th St. Mary's Church\, is designed to be highly interactive with lots of "
 doing" for everyone. Whether you're a regular churchgoer or of no particul
 ar faith at all\, you are absolutely welcome! Our aim is to create a space
  where everyone feels a sense of belonging and excitement for the year ahe
 ad. A highlight of our service will be the Blessing of the Backpacks. This
  is a lovely tradition\, often observed at the start of the academic year\
 , where students bring their school bags to be blessed. It's a symbolic wa
 y of acknowledging the journey of learning ahead and seeking well wishes f
 or the children\, their teachers\, and the entire school community. It rem
 inds us that God's presence\, or simply the support and love of our commun
 ity\, goes with our children wherever they go – into their classrooms\, 
 during their studies\, and in their interactions with friends and teachers
 . It's a way of saying\, "We're with you\, we support you\, and we wish yo
 u a year filled with discovery and growth!"\nSo\, bring your children and 
 their backpacks (or book bags\, or lunchboxes!) to be part of this meaning
 ful moment.\nWe can't wait to see you there and start the school year "All
  Together"!
