DESCRIPTION:Creationtide\, or the Season of Creation\, runs from September
  1 to St Francis day on October 4. During this time churches are called to
  pay special attention to the responsibility of humanity for the Earth and
  for all that lives upon it. \n\nWhile its adoption was in part driven by 
 the climate crisis\, the Season of Creation draws on much deeper roots in 
 Scripture and in older Christian traditions in terms of the relationship b
 etween God\, humanity and the created order.\n\nThe timing of the Season o
 f Creation means it is an excellent way of rooting traditional harvest fes
 tivals in wider issues and firm theological ground. In 2016\, Pope Francis
  declared 1 September an annual World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creati
 on.\n\nThe theme for the Season of Creation 2026 is living water\, based o
 n Ezekiel 47:1-12. God’s life-giving water flows from the temple of God\
 , growing deeper\, restoring barren land\, reviving waters\, and sustainin
 g flourishing ecosystems. The vision invites human responsibility: recogni
 sing ecological damage\, embracing interconnectedness\, we are called to i
 mmerse ourselves in the water\, and actively safeguarding and working for 
 the renewal of creation so that environmental healing and human well-being
  may flourish together.
