Piano Recital by Nina Savicevic

Occuring
for 1 hour, 30 mins
Venue
St Margaret's Church, Topsham
Address
St Margaret’s Church 57 Fore Street, Topsham EX3 0HL, EX3 0HL, United Kingdom

Nina has become well know in Topsham having now given many recitals in St Margaret’s Church, the first of these was several years ago in September 2017. And since then, her professional approach and clarity of playing have drawn more and more people to listen. Nina’s last recital was back in May 2021, and she will be giving another recital on 16th January at 3.00pm.
Having moved on from Wells school Nina is now studying piano at The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester where she is in her third year of a four-year course. This current academic year has seen it possible for students to have face to face piano tuition and Nina’s tutor is Helen Krizos.
It has also been possible to give live recitals and as well as playing in Topsham Nina has given recitals in Brighton and Edinburgh Cathedral. Currently her repertoire includes the Beethoven Pastoral Sonata, and a Mozart Piano Concerto. These two pieces will be part of the recital Nina will give on January 16th in St Margaret’s Church.
Joining Nina to take on the piano reduction for the Mozart Concerto will be friend and supporter Dorothy Raven playing the second small grand piano currently being looked after in St Margaret’s Church.
Nina’s playing is developing in leaps and bounds and although she loves playing more romantic composition her repertoire is embracing other composers such as J S Bach.

January is often a dark month and coming after the joy of Christmas might be cold and wet. A good opportunity to come together in the surrounds of St Margaret’s socially distanced and sanitised to enjoy this young pianist’s playing.
Entry to this concert will be free, and we hope you will make a donation as you leave which will be divided equally between Nina and Church Funds.

We will be adhering to Government and Church Covid guidelines in place at the time. Please do not come if you have symptoms and you might want to take a lateral flow test the day before.

St Margaret's Church, Topsham

A very warm welcome to you.

The churches of St Margaret's Topsham and St Luke's Countess Wear work together with our Vicar Revd Louise Grace and leadership team to outreach to both areas. Our mission values spring forth from the two great commandments, to Love God and to love our neighbours as ourselves. We aspire to be faithful in worship and prayer, whilst outward looking in service to our communities. Our charism is to be inclusive and generous in spirit and hospitality. Did anyone say cake?

We hope you will find these webpages helpful and inspiring. Find information about our services and other events, music; news and notices; provision for families; prayer ideas; a Daily Reflection each day; Zoom links to join our online services; a donations page to allow you to make donations easily online; opportunities to volunteer, and lots more news about the church and how to contact us.

There are several pages to look at on the left-hand side of the screen. In some cases, a section contains more than one page, so remember to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the arrow in order to navigate to the next page.

We hope to see you at our services and other events. Everyone is very welcome. And please do get in touch if you need any spiritual or pastoral support, or someone to pray with or for you, or simply just a listening ear.

Blessings and warmest wishes to all.
