 hey replace the original duo who pulled out yesterday.\n\nCharlie Lovell-J
 ones debuted at a sold-out Royal Festival Hall debut aged 15. He has\nsinc
 e soloed with orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic\, English Chamber\
 , Noord\nNederlands\, Sinfonietta Cracovia\, RTÉ Concert\, Sendai Philhar
 monic and Yamagata Symphony\,\nbroadcasting on television and radio. In 20
 17\, BBCNOW premiered Charlie’s composition for\nviolin\, soprano and or
 chestra\, Cariad Cyntaf\, with Rebecca Evans and himself as soloists. He h
 as\nworked with conductors including John Wilson\, Edward Gardner\, Sir Ma
 rk Elder\, Rumon Gamba\,\nPeter Oundjian\, Daniela Candillari\, Louis Lohr
 aseb\, Ken Takaseki\, Moritz Gnann\, and Michael\nSeal.\n\n\nCharlie was t
 he youngest-ever member of the John Wilson Orchestra\, aged 14. At the\nBB
 C Proms 2021\, he debuted as concertmaster of Wilson’s multi-award-winni
 ng Sinfonia of\nLondon (SoL)\, with whom he has recorded many critically-a
 cclaimed CDs\, including his debut\nconcerto recording of the Walton Violi
 n Concerto\, which released in February 2025. Charlie has\nfound success i
 n several international competitions\, including BBC Young Musician 2016\,
  and the\nSendai 2019\, Shanghai Isaac Stern 2020\, and Joachim 2021 Inter
 national Competitions.\nCharlie was a Christ Church Prize Scholar at Oxfor
 d University\, where he graduated in 2020 with a Gibbs Prize in Music. He 
 received a Bicentenary Scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music\, and gra
 duated in 2022 with the Strings Postgraduate Prize. In the same year\, he 
 released his debut recital album on Linn Records as part of the RAM Bicent
 enary Series.\n\nHe won the Hattori Foundation\, Harriet Cohen\, John Fuss
 ell\, Drake Calleja and Countess of Munster Trusts’ awards\, and is a J&
 A Beare Violin Society Artist. Charlie studied for over ten years with Rod
 ney\nFriend MBE\, and from 2022-2024\, at the Yale School of Music with Au
 gustin Hadelich.\nCharlie has enjoyed masterclasses with Ida Haendel\, Ann
 e-Sophie Mutter\, Vadim Repin\,\nMenahem Praessler\, Pinchas Zukerman\, Ja
 mes Ehnes\, Leonidas Kavakos\, Tai Murray\, and with\nIda Kavafian at the 
 Lincoln Center.\n\nHe has also coached with Ani Kavafian\, Boris Slutsky\,
  and cellist of the Brentano Quartet\, Nina Lee.\nCharlie is in regular de
 mand nationally and internationally\, and has soloed at venues\nincluding 
 Smith Square Hall\, Birmingham Symphony Hall\, the National Concert Hall D
 ublin\, the\nSnape Maltings\, the Wigmore Hall and the Konzerthaus Berlin.
  His 2024-25 season includes\nfurther SoL recordings and concerts\, perfor
 mances of Bach\, Brahms\, Britten\, Bruch\, Sibelius\,\nTchaikovsky\, Viva
 ldi\, and Vaughan-Williams Concertos\, and several duo and trio recitals i
 ncluding\nhis debut at the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.\n\nCharlie p
 lays a fine 1777 Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin\, generously loaned b
