The government guidance issued alongside the Prime Minister's announcement makes it clear that churches are closed from Thursday 5 November, apart from private prayer, funerals or streaming an act of worship. Currently, this second national lockdown will finish on Wednesday 2 December.
This sadly means that there will be no Remembrance services or events in church on 8 November.
The telephone services at 9am on a Sunday and 6pm on a Wednesday will continue - see the separate notice under "Services and Events".
The villages' home support scheme has continued in operation over the summer, and now that lockdown has returned you are encouraged to use it if you need help with shopping, collecting medication or other essential supplies. Information is available in the "Coronavirus" section.
