Church of England Diocese of Exeter Ideford with Luton

Keeping in Touch (17 Sept)

Revd Jane writes: It’s been a rich, few months on the sporting front, with the remarkable achievements of tennis player Emma Raducanu as a recent highlight. In his time, the apostle Paul repeatedly likened the Christian life to a race with a prize at the end of it with the ‘cloud of witnesses’ - godly characters who have gone before us & who act rather like cheerleaders in the stands of the stadium of our lives- and Jesus, who is coach, pace setter and finishing post, as Team assets.

So whenever you started the race; whatever lap you’re on; we jog on together as Team: exploring our faith together; living our daily lives in the community; as Christians in the making - God’s work in progress.

News from the Diocese As we begin to emerge cautiously out of the pandemic restrictions so the Diocese of Exeter is developing its on vision of its Next Steps. Do take a look by clicking that link. Every parish church in the land contributes towards the Common Fund (the 'Parish Share' as it used to be called a few years ago). It's the source of much discussion so do take a look at this publication Common Fund Explained from the Diocese of Exeter. Please also look at how you can support your church.

Praying at home - If you have a specific prayer request please send details to Mervyn in the Team Office. He will pass it to the clergy on in strict confidence. If you would like a printed copy, please contact the clergy.

We appreciate this is a time of concern and please be assured of our prayers and support.
