We are once again able to worship in our church buildings. However this is only the beginning of emerging from ‘lockdown’ and we will be proceeding with care, recognising that many will still need to be ‘shielding’ and unable to attend worship in a church building. For those who do attend there are strict rules to observe to protect each other against the continuing risk – please observe all notices and instructions. There will be no hymns at these services although the organ will be played before and after the service and during the taking of Communion.

Sunday 5th July:

In the morning there will be two services in the Benefice – both will be Holy Eucharist:

9.30am St Mary’s, Silverton

11. 15am St. Bartholomew’s, Cadeleigh

Sunday 12th July (provisionally:  9.30 am, Holy Communion (CW) (Bickleigh) The Revd Paul Kingdom</span>

Attending online:

If you are unable or do not wish to attend church in person, you can join the 9.30am service from Silverton by ‘Zoom’ using the usual joining instructions (see below). The Holy Communion order of service (see Holy Communion page to the left)) will have most of the words to join in, including the prayer to be said for Spiritual Communion at the time the congregation in church is receiving Communion – please use this time to sit quietly and pray. There are some additional words to be used at the beginning of the service (also attached).

The readings will be Zechariah 9. 9-12; Romans 7. 15-25a; Matthew 11. 16-19, 25-30.

The Zoom joining instructions are as usual:
